Who am I?
My name is Ethan Michael Carter. I am a screenwriter, author, fight choreographer, and stage actor, from the UK.
I started life on the wrong side of the tracks. Most of my youth was spent in gangs and seeking out fight after fight. My life changed when I was 14 years old and I met a very wise boxing coach. This man not only taught me the art of boxing, but also the art of Living More Than You Exist. This man become my mentor for over 20 years, literally turning my life around and teaching me that “We are never a slave to our environment, only to our choices”.
My time with my mentor began a life long journey for knowledge and self development. A journey that has, up to this point, led me to work as a fully qualified English teacher, and as a fight choreographer for film and televison, with credits including the acclaimed Heroes series. I’ve also worked as an actor with the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company, in the UK, as a stage actor. At present, I’m currently working for AMC as a screenwriter, and in the pre-production stage of a TV series.
My aim with this site is to take my experiences and philosophies that I’ve learned and present them to you in a informative, yet humble way. I like to think of my advice as “Help from a first-person perspective”. What this means is that I understand that we’ve all messed up or “failed” at some point in our lives. In over 20 years of my own personal development journey and adventures, I would be lying if I said I hadn’t met with the company of “failure.” My aim is to not only share these experiences as openly, honestly and even humorously as I possibly can, but to also show you how to overcome them.
I am also available for coaching. If you’d like to contact me, please drop me a line via the Contact Page.
